East Coast Datacom (ECD), Inc., a Florida-based data communications accessory specialist, announces relocation and expansion to former NCR terminal repair facility.
The relocation represents a significant step in future site expansion capabilities with the purchase of 2.1 acres in the heart of the Gus Hipp Rockledge Industrial Park. The new facility provides twice the floor space of the existing facility, while maintaining close proximity to existing key suppliers.
Company president Rick Barger states that, " We continue to grow at a good steady pace while maintaining a strong positive cash position. This positive position has put us in control of our facility site and future expansion plans".
The new facility is set to stage the company's entry into the campus modem arena. The flagship product is a 26Mbps bi-directional multiplexer that supports LAN, T1/E1 and Nx64 serial data, called the "VDSL-MUX". The product is set to launch in the 4th quarter of 2001.
