March 20, 2021: East Coast Datacom (ECD), Inc., a Florida-based data communications accessory specialist, announces a new Modem Eliminator product that supports ultra-low legacy data rates. The UDC-ME LDR supports selectable clock rates of 50bps to 9.6Kbps with a total of 16 selectable clock rates available. The unit also supports selections for inverted data, clock and RTS/CTS delays.
The UDC-ME LDR is designed with plug in serial interfaces cards supporting RS-232, V.35, RS-530, RS-442 and X.21. The unit allows two DTE terminal devices or routers to communicate within proximity of each other without using Modems. All clocking and signal crossover are provided within the UDC-ME LDR.
A unique feature of the UDC-ME LDR allows the user to mix and match the serial interface modules such as RS-232 and V.35. This eliminates the need for an interface converter when the attached router or terminal device data interfaces do not match.
The UDC-ME LDR is supplied in a sturdy metal standalone or 1U Rackmount enclosure and has a 110/220VAC selectable AC power input. The warranty is three years, and the list price is $995.00.
