East Coast Datacom (ECD), Inc., a Florida-based data communications accessory specialist, announces the RDS-TCB Tail-Circuit Buffer.

The RDS-TCB Tail-Circuit Buffer is designed to provide selectable bi-directional buffering between two data circuits that are operating at nominally the same clock rate and are capable of providing clocking as a DCE. In such cases, the timing of the two circuits is not locked to the same timing source, or may be allowed to deviate from a common timing source for a length of time. The Tail-Circuit Buffer meets this need by providing selectable amounts of bi-directional memory up to 8,192 bits, and supports synchronous clock rates up to 2.048 Mbps.

The various buffer memory sizes, that are user selectable are:

2,048 Bits

4,096 Bits

8,192 Bits

The RDS-TCB is 1U high, rackmount and supports interface cards of RS-232, RS-422/449, V.35 and X.21. The unit operates on 110 or 220VAC power and has a 3-year warranty.
