Description

The USB-232 on RJ-45 converter provides a simple, reliable solution for connecting legacy RS-232 serial devices to modern PCs or embedded systems via a standard USB 2.0 port. Utilizing the Infineon CY6C65213A USB-UART LP Bridge Controller, it handles all USB signaling and protocols, providing a COM port interface for the host system. The inclusion of an RJ-45 connector allows for the use of readily available, inexpensive CAT5/6 Ethernet cabling for data transmission, ideal for console access to network equipment. 

The USB-232 on RJ-45 converter is an ideal companion to the DBU-2328_C data broadcast Unit for simplified end-to-end RS-232 data distribution.

The USB-232 on RJ-45 unit is housed in a sturdy metal enclosure and operates on the USB buss power. No external power is required.

The RS-232 interface can transmit the RS-232 data long several hundred feet on CAT-6A cabling.

 The product also incorporates surge protection circuity that is not found in many other USB to RS-232 converters.

 The USB-232 via RJ-45 has a three year warranty and a 24 hour turnaround on warranty repairs.
